Happy New Year!!! I know y'all were ready to bid 2018 goodbye just like I was. 2018 was definitely a rollercoaster, but I had so many new and AMAZING experiences that I hope will continue into this new year. Everything that wasn't helping me, however, can stay right in 2018, please and thank you!

How does everyone like the new blog layout? I wanted to start this new year out right with some nice visuals for Y'all! I have plans to have amazing content for you all here, on my youtube, and my Instagram so make sure to follow me on each platform to stay up to date!

Now to the meat and potatoes of this post, or in my head, the Oreos and ice cream, of this article. Every single year, we all get flooded with "new year, new me" posts all over our feeds. Sometimes it can get a little annoying, but only because people barely ever make the changes they want. But guess what! If you're reading this blog post, you won't be one of them. Instead, we are going to stick to our goals (not resolutions) and kick 2019 in the booty!

I'm going to share 4 of my goals for 2019 with you all and maybe you'll get some inspiration from mine!

1. Wake up earlier- Being in my first semester of college, I definitely realized just how few hours are in a day. More importantly, I realized that the mornings that I got up earlier, the more accomplished I felt at the end of the day! I want to continue waking up at 6am every day and even not snooze my alarm.

2. Take risks- Just two days ago, I took a risk and reached out to an HR director at a company I would dream to work at! It was so scary but also so thrilling to know that I pushed myself out of my comfort zone. Also, pray that ya girl gets this (or any other internship)!

My mama got these from Neiman Marcus

3. Journal more-  This Christmas, my mom got me two journals. One is a gratitude journal and the other is a dreams journal. Utilizing these tools are going to help my mental health and keep me motivated to complete my goals like the ones in this post! *wink wink*

4. Read more- I love to read! Actually, I have ever since I was a kid. Since I've been home, I've been reading One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus and next on my list is Becoming by Michelle Obama!  Ugh, I can't wait to start reading it. And hey, maybe we can start a book club!

Those are some of the goals I know that I will achieve this year and you can use them yourself! And remember to think of them as goals, and trust me, you'll get them done as long as you write them down.

XOXO
