Although this year was my third year going to prom, this was the first time that I was able to let my pageant side break free. Once I found out that this year was going to be more formal, I racked my brain trying to figure out what to wear. I was not sure whether or not to buy a new gown or just use one that I already had. I finally realized that it would make zero sense for me to buy a new gown when I have a room dedicated to pageant gowns in my house. Then, it came time to rack my brain on what to wear. I had over 20 gowns to pick one. I originally thought to wear the gorgeous MacDuggal that I competed at Miss New York Teen USA with, but I figured that it would be too much. For one, I am a sophomore and I also would not be able to dance in it. That gown is strictly competition. I was clueless until I placed my little hand on the beautiful pink gown with shorts that I got from Diane & Co in Freehold, New Jersey. It was perfect! I could move around and not over do it. This has to be one of my favorite pageant pieces!! I wore gold hoop earrings (my staple) and my Chinese Laundry heels along with it.

I did my own makeup and I was really proud! I was mostly proud of my highlight in all honesty. I always aim for a highlight that is a little bit less beaming than Amrezy's and I accomplished it. I tried my best to do a "natural" glam look to balence off with my dress because once again, I am in love with my dress and wanted it to be the centerpiece of my whole get-up.

Unintentionally, my phone cases matched the stones on my dress perfectly! Nothing is better than coordination in my book. I had purchased this phone case during the same week for protection and cuteness. Let's just say, it is more cuteness than protection. I actually bought another case this week.

I hope y'all enjoyed this post and stay tuned for next week's post!
